Challenge completed!
We reached the Mediterranean sea this morning so our 2017 challenge is over. Needless to say, it really was a challenge, determination, grit and a sense of humour were definitely compulsory! Even during the night when, after we had washed our clothes and it started to rain we laughed, even when we awoke to find ourselves once again with a flat tyre we laughed, even with a mistral blowing us to the coast and knowing that on the way back it was going to be hell cycling back to camp , and it was, we laughed! Maybe we are just mad but what the hell it was brilliant and my cycling buddy David was quite simply a star and honestly I wouldn't have finished without him!
To all those wonderful people that pledged money for the dog rescue, a massive thank you! I will of course be in touch with you personally with details about how you can pay or transfer your pledge. Once again thank you.
